Our History
In 1941, a pastor named Jim Rayburn began showing young people how God cares by showing up in their world & sharing the Gospel in ways & words they could easily understand. 72 years later, we began focused ministries at Regents, St. Andrew's, & St. Stephen's high schools & have continued to grow since then.
Now, in cities & villages, towns & tower blocks, in countries on every continent, Young Life leaders work with over two million young people, meeting them right where they are. In our area alone, more than 800 kids are engaged & known by Young Life & WyldLife leaders but we're always looking out for the next kid.
We have more than 50 college students & young professionals walking alongside kids in the communities around Hyde Park, Regents, and St. Andrew's. Likewise, these leaders are discipling students who serve as WyldLife leaders. We want to reach all kids where they are.
